Jimmy Barter of Troop 68 plans to build a bocce ball court at Peppertown Park, honoring the township’s Italian heritage and bocce tradition while creating a place for residents of all ages to gather and play.

Residents can support the project through donations, and local businesses can sponsor a plaque at the court. To contribute, scan the QR code on the accompanying flyer. For sponsorship information, email jamesbarter07@icloud.com.

At Lower Columbia Park, Ruhaan Gokhale of Troop 368 is constructing three wooden lean-to storage structures for campers, replacing roofs on existing lean-tos and improving seating. His project aims to provide organized storage and better serve summer camp participants.

Also at Lower Columbia Park, Logan Melendes of Troop 68 is building a tree bench near the tennis courts. The project has received township zoning approval and will provide a permanent place for park visitors to sit in the shade.

Together, these projects reflect the Scouts’ commitment to community service and improving shared outdoor spaces.
