Principal James Finley described the playground as a place to build friendships, solve problems and practice cooperation.
“Our new playground is not only a place to play, but also a space for students to build friendships, take risks, solve problems, practice cooperation, and simply enjoy being together,” he said.
Students shared what excited them about the playground and made a schoolwide promise to play safely, include others and care for the space. A countdown and ceremonial ribbon cutting officially opened the playground to cheers.
